Have I shared with you my obsession with vintage Pyrex? I’m sorry I don’t have a recipe to share with you today, but I can share my latest vintage finds. I started collecting vintage Pyrex a couple of years ago when I learned that there was such a thing as pink Pyrex. Pink is my favorite color! I love Pyrex because it reminds me of when I was a kid. My mom had the green bowls pictured above. I can tell you exactly what she used to serve in them too!
I don’t really have a lot of Pyrex yet, because I haven’t been able to find it. I usually search for it at Goodwill or Salvation Army. I never find anything spectacular to write home about though. This past week I did a search on Cragislist and found a little vintage shop called Gatti’s Garage. I made my poor husband and little guy get up early on Saturday and trek all the way over there to find my vintage Pyrex! SO much fun! She had so many awesome things in her shop! Even my little guy was enthralled by all of the old toys and kitchen things she had.
I decided to buy the green bowls and green casseroles that she had there. The only thing I’m missing is the large green bowl, but there were a lot of them on Etsy, so I can order one there. The pink bowls you see were a gift from my mom. She saw them at an antique show and bought them for me for my birthday. Swoon!! LOVE them so much! And do you love those strawberry salt and pepper shakers? I thought they were adorable. I also got those on my shopping trip to Gatti’s Garage.
I love to see what people collect. I hope I’ve inspired you to share your collections too!
